There is no "Avis desk" or any clue for Avis in the Loews hotel! I picked up the car at the Airport because I had a tight schedule that day, and the option to drop the car off downtown sounded good to me. I came to the Loews hotel at 7:30 pm and was told that there is no Avis, only the third person I talked to (valet manager) told me that they do this to Loews guests only and they can't take the car from me, even if this address is listed in the reservation as a drop off address, because they have nothing to do with Avis! There is no Avis staff here at this location, and this is called a “satellite location” of Avis which is only accessible by hotel guests. However, when you make a reservation online, the “hotel guests only” wording only appears in a very inconspicuous section of your rental agreement. I have to call Avis and was told that I have to get a car from another location,and the price is 3x more expensive than I paid online! Wrong address
We were stayed at the Loews hotel and made reservation in advance because had a helicopter tour and to reach location we needed a car. We had specific time for a tour so It was unexpected when we came to pick up the car and could not find Avis office there but representative told us that we supposed to wait when our car provided from another location, we were waiting 30 min and after we have a call and Avis representative told us that we have to come to another location to pick up a car. Location does not exist, go to 214 North Clark Street. Loews does not have any dealings with Avis. This is an error on Avis's system.
