Great airport. Newly remodeled the only reason I gave four stars rather than five is due to its lackluster baggage claim be forewarned there is only one baggage claim carousel for the entire airport.
Okay so the airport after God knows how many years is finally renovated which is a step in the right direction. But flight-sided there are high drinks are outrageous and why? Oh why is there not a lounge? Every airport has a lounge and this airport has enough people flying in and out of it to put a lounge in, especially during renovation. I know why because they want you to go to these bars and order two cocktails for $37 and that is not something people expect when they go to key West. It is very nice since the renovations. This was our second time flying from AVL to EYW and back. Both airports are under heavy renovations and eyw certainly is a major upgrade. No walking outside or having to go down the stairs anymore. The restaurants and Starbucks all look new and very nice.
