The manager at the Key West location, Colten saved the day! I showed up to Hertz and they were closed with no car for me to rent. Colten at Avis quickly helped the situation and made sure I had a great car to drive around in. I was completely hooked up! I was charged $150 for a parking ticket that occurred within 20 mins of picking up the rental. I was mailed $150 bill 3 months. I explained the situation to Avis and was told they would help me to dispute this with Capital One. Avis said there is no parking ticket showing on my account and they don't know why I was charged the $150. It is disappointing that they did not follow through with what they said they would do. Do Not recommend renting from Avis! I will NEVER rent from Avis again. I have rented from many rental companies in the past. Never have a I been charged any additional fee let alone a cleaning fee of $450 for some sand on a seat and normal Dirt from shoes on the floor mats. They never warned us of the charge. Instead they sent a letter to our home which we didn’t receive until we got home bc we were on vacation. Charged our card and only found out when I checked my statement. Straight garbage. Do not rent from Avis. Lady at the desk was the rudest person I've ever met. I had prepaid reservations, when I got there, she wanted my social security number for the rental. I didn't see why she needed this. Just left Tampa using them as well. Again bad experience but not as bad as this place. Avoid the headache and don't rent from this trash organization
