I used to enjoy renting cars from Avis, but this specific location has been a disappointing experience. They tend to overcharge after you return the vehicle, so be careful. Always hand the keys directly to the desk staff — never use the drop box — because if you do, they might claim you returned the car late and bill you extra. I travel into Birmingham/Tuscaloosa often. I always prefer renting from Avis at BHM airport. The employees are always so amazing! Very professional, knowledgeable, kind, helpful, accommodating and I could go on! Adena, Keaton, Mary and Deon are the best! They are the reason I continue to go to Avis instead of the other companies(when they have availability). Unfortunately there have been times that Avis was out of cars so I had to rent elsewhere. I have rented there for the last Month my wife left her keys in glove compartment. When I inquired about the car I was told the car was on the lot but they didn’t have the keys to the car. Then I was told they went to another lot and employee lot.. Needless to say the only person who seemed to be concerned was one of the drivers. He told me to ask for a manager. Still waiting. Kevin has not contacted me yet. These keys belong to a school just some feedback I call yesterday again I was told Kevin would call. Nothing….
