Dr Saelee was so wonderful. She helped me figure out what I was doing was helpful for my issues. But she also added some important information that I hadn’t thought of. Gave me some stress related exercises to help me through times when I could feel the tension in my shoulders. She was professional. Easy to talk to & could understand exactly what I was going through. I will definitely contact her in the future when issues arise that I need clarification with. In my almost 3 years of seeing Dr. Saelee, I can effectively say my life has transformed and blossomed into something I have never thought to be possible. I, initially, went to her to process the grief of my mom's passing, but what we were able to unearth and process throughout the scope of my life is what I will cherish the most. I just wrapped up therapy with Jason Wilcox, and I’m not ending because of insurance or scheduling. I’m ending because, for the first time in a long time, I’m genuinely in a good place. I still remember my first call when choosing between Jason and Saelee. If I’m remembering right, he said something like, “She’s joyful and upbeat. I’m a bit more serious.” And my chaotic self thought, “Perfect. I can't overstate how much growth and healing I experienced over 9 months of sessions with Dr. Thaen. This week marks a year since I moved states and had to leave her practice, but I still use the resources and tools she gave me daily. Her approach mixing EMDR, somatic practices, CBT, and nervous system regulation felt like a breakthrough for me after years of seeing primarily CBT/DBT-only therapists. Truely enjoyed my time with my therapist from Avid counseling. I have a much more dynamic relationship with my young son using the skills I learned here. Identifying my beliefs in my own life and understanding them with my reactions has opened my mind to a new way of thinking through my experiences.
