I can't overstate how much growth and healing I experienced over 9 months of sessions with Dr. Thaen. This week marks a year since I moved states and had to leave her practice, but I still use the resources and tools she gave me daily. It is very hard to a qualified and competent therapist thesedays, and even harder to find one that is a good fit. This process can take months to accomplish. But I was fortunate enough to call AVID Counseling and immediately got to speak with Dr. Saelee, and we were able to set up an intake appointment in a matter of weeks. Truely enjoyed my time with my therapist from Avid counseling. I have a much more dynamic relationship with my young son using the skills I learned here. Identifying my beliefs in my own life and understanding them with my reactions has opened my mind to a new way of thinking through my experiences. A new way to process my beliefs of myself and the feelings surrounding them. Thank you Avid counseling.
I highly recommend the folks at avid counseling. My counselor at Avid has taught me more skills for managing my emotions then all other previous counselors I've had combined. The skills I have learned help me identify triggers and deal with them in a healthy way. I am better now at managing my anxiety than ever before and learning to communicate and manage my anger as well. These folks are amazing.
