My mischievous, Cauique parrot, Louie has gotten into scrapes from life-threatening pneumonia to severe head injury and more emergencies in between. At 30 years he is delicate with underlying ailments. When new symptoms present, it is a great comfort to know that at the Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital he will be treated expediently in their expert, empathic hands. I had to take my guinea pig in for something wrong with her eye, and while I appreciated the patience they had with my and my scheduling to get her in and the different people coming in to pick her up and drop her off, as well as the care she received, they still failed me on multiple accounts. For instance, they had not given back the carrier we had brought her in with so we were forced to pay for a new one, mostly on the person who picker her ups fault so I can’t blame them too much for that, delayed the serum she was supp... read more
I cannot say enough good praise about the team at Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital. I was only blessed with my "Bird Son", an Amazon Yellow Naped Parrot named Ra, for 5 months before he passed away at only a year and a half years old. I expected to spend the rest of my life with him, and for my 22 year old daughter to take him after me, as I am 43 and they are supposed to live for 65 to 85 years.
