RecommendedAvian & Exotic was the fourth clinic I brought my sick chinchilla to, and my only wish is that I'd come sooner. Paid $925 to have my IR parakeet foot amputated due to an injury. Was made to pay hours before surgery and was never shown a price breakdown of cost. Was told vet will call after surgery never did had reception call instead. Was never given a receipt when I checked out. Still have no idea what I paid for, not only was there miscommunication but lack of professionalism.
The absolute best when it comes to Exotic animal care. My hedgehog woke up with her eye protruding from the socket and they were able to see me on the same day that I called! They came and got her right away and I was updated throughout the entire treatment process. I plan on scheduling surgery next week to get her eye removed with them. Thank you so much Dr.Driggers and team!
The doctors, techs, and staff have been so compassionate and caring. I can imagine dealing with the Covid situation has been tough on everyone who works there, but they’ve been nothing but professional and always put the health of the animals first. My special thanks to Dr. Driggers and Dr. Scagnelli for taking care of my girls Beaker and Luna, and always taking the time to answer my questions. Thank you for all the important work you do, for caring about our pets, and knowing how important they are to us.
I have taken my hedgie here for the last 2 and a half years. They have taken care of ear mites, digestive issues, cancer and, as of today, helping my hedgie cross the rainbow bridge. Dr. Scagnelli has always been so calm and caring with us and made sure we understood everything going on. They truly do care about the well being of your pet.
I have seen several posts that are anti Cat. As a veterinary professional myself, even if I don't like a species, I would never post something so ignorant as cats that go outside are destroying our environment and all they do is kill things. We took an oath to save ALL species. And they should be educated enough on a topic even though they specialize in Exotic Medicine. To have this level of ignorance and what appears as hatred for a specific animal/species concerns me how they really treat the animals in their practice.
Horrible. Awful way of doing business! The vet tech will quote you wrong prices and will be much more when you pay. The vet tech should make assumptions about and animal before seen. Vet was incredibly rude and not helpful. Never called back. Vet tech trimmed nails and the sight I'm looking at is incredibly sad. Unfortunately, this place has changed over the years.
