Ermi (a night nurse) didn’t let my sister change out of her walking around brace while she was sleeping and didn’t wanna give her pain meds, he preferred to have a relationship with me (the one not needing medical attention) than my sister (the one who needed medical attention) he was nice to me but not to her
Had a double hernia repair. From the moment my daughter and I walked into the Center we were taken care of in the most pleasant professional manner i've experienced in any Hospital. I just can't say a high enough praise for the group of nurses that took care of us. Thanks so much.
Surgery itself went fine. However, I only saw my surgeon twice. Once for the consult, and once before surgery. Before surgery, he admitted that he had forgotten everything we had discussed in the consult. I had a gallbladder removal and was given Tylenol for pain. I have had countless other surgeries and this has been my worst pain wise. I do not seek for meds ever, but upon asking for something just a little stronger, I was told there was NOTHING they could give me. On 6/27/24 I went to the Avera Surgery Center on the Avera Campus for reconstruction plastic surgery. My experience, other than the actual surgery, left much to be desired. Communication with my driver (daughter) was almost non existent. For nearly 2 hrs she was in the dark. When she was brought to Room 12, believing My procedure was over, only to learn I hadn't even gone in yet. I, on 2 separate occasions, told 1st on my phone interview, and 2nd with an in clinic questionnaire, that I wanted any prescription medication to b... read more
