You're expected to arrive 30 minutes early to your appointment, and then wait an additional hour on top of that for the doctor to even see you, which isn't exactly abnormal, but still a bit frustrating. The staff were all friendly, but the doctor didn't address any of my concerning symptoms or the possibility of underlying causes, she just prescribed me migraine meds and told me to come back in 4 months for a follow up. What was the point in seeing a specialist when my primary could've done the same thing much quicker?

Normally very happy with Avera. However, I repeatedly have issues with prescriptions being followed up on with the patient assist program. Today, I called and spoke with Kelly voicing my irritation with Avera over this issue. Kelly accused mE of yelling, which I was not, and then hung up on me when I asked for her name. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Great communication, explanations, and great overall care. Highly recommend.
Pre-Authorizing and filling a prescription refill took over three weeks of time, over an hour on the phone bouncing between AVERA pharmacy and AVERA neurology, and multiple poor customer service experiences. TERRIBLE, do not recommend!
