The doctors are amazing, I have seen a psychologist and a psychiatrist for the last 4 years with Avera, they are empathetic, great listeners, understanding of my conditions and they along with the whole staff makes me feel that they truly care about their patients mental health and well being— thank you to Dr Meredith Powell and Dr Nancy Johnson for helping me through the most darkest days in the last 4 years! I couldn’t have done it without them!!
I’ve had a great experience here, the psychiatrist i see is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Im not sure what all the bad reviews were about but I've had a great experience going here so far. My psychiatrist is very receptive of my needs and concerns and has yet to make me feel dismissed in any instance. Any time I call the office about a concern or send a message through the portal, the staff usually get back to me same day or the morning directly after. The psychiatrist dept is God awful. I've been going there for years and not once have I been able to see anyone other than a resident Dr. I've ran out of meds so many times because the residents work 1-2 days a week. Lol. There is a pharmacy on site right below the office and the communication is horrible. both always say we never received a refill request. I finally started using Lewis because they get a confirmation on the refill they sent but the office still says they never got it.
