I lived in Avalon court from the time it opened until about4 years later. I never had ANY issues whatsoever and the oriperty was very well run! It was unfortunate that I had to leave, because Chistine was right on top of things and very personable.
I recently looked at a 2 br unit in Block A by an East Indian Man in leasing office. Very unproffesional,unfriendly . did not answer any of my questions when asked,walked 2 feet ahead of tenents looking at unit. Upon viewing of unit carpets in hallways torn,dirty,smelt like drugs usage in building. Entered the unit for rent, old flooring,carpet dirty and old and lifting. Trying to look at places to rent as I'm moving to Red Deer. I have 3 cats and Avenue living maxes out of 2 pets. Even though I've had my cats for 10 years, 5 being the youngest cat - and they haven't caused any issues in any other apartments I've been in Avenue Living wont even consider it. Just disappointing to see places act as if pets aren't apart of your family, and you can just get rid of one. Pet Friendly- as long as they are a certain breed, weight and you don't have a third.
I have been here for 6 years and just recently came to my attention that new people moving in get a newly renovated place with a lower cost. There is a reason they only have a 2.4 star, so do your reach. Kings Alley sent a contractor to look at my place to do all this work but that has been weeks now. Avenue Living changed the apartment I was moved into at the last moment. I never got to see what I was moving into and the manager was conveniently on vacation for the first 2 weeks when I tried to contact him. He never returned my calls. They admitted no carpet cleaning was done and I cleaned up peoples dirty old toe nails and caked, drie- on tomatoes on kitchen floor. Have lived in two different complexes. Stay away from Avenue Living. One building was easily a slum. The second was somewhat better but still less than desirable. Very difficult to get maintenance and what you eventually get is untrained, unqualified and sloppy work. AMEN!!!
