Made an offer but instead of confirming or denying the offer they wantes me to call so I did and had the audacity to tell me the car is so good that if I try it I'd want to spend more all while hearing people laughing in the background on their end. If I had more money I wouldnt be looking at a 97 540i with well over a hundred thousand miles for 4 grand. Not to mention that for 5-6 grand I could get one with less miles and 2002 to 2003. This person never came in to the dealership to look at this vehicle. We inspect and service all of our vehicles prior to sale so some make it to market sooner than others depending on needs. We sold this mint, great running, everything works1997 540i 133k miles for less than $4k.
The car was dirty inside and out. The upholstery was worn. It reeked. We had to stop and get gas before we could go on a test drive. One of the windshield wipers needed to be replaced. And the car did not run as smooth as most Lexus do. This car should have been properly cleaned, fumigated, and repaired before being advertised. The salesman was very kind, sincere, and helpful.
