Bill I took my car to Automate for a new serpentine (accesory) belt. They said it also blew a power steering hose, probably did there was power steering fluid on the engine. It took them 2 weeks to complete this, and only after I said I was going to take the elsewhere. They charged $190.07 for the high pressure power steering hose, I found it online from FCPgroton.com for $75.00 . They never called to report progress or lack therof. I had to go see them 4 times.
Bad job bad price I went to Auto Mate because my brakes sounded awful and I wanted to get rid of all the noise that they were making. So I had a brake inspection done and they told me that my brakes were fine and that if I wanted to I could have them sand down my rotors. So that is what I did. I sat at there shop for about two hours on my only day off of work and they charged me about $65 but when I left the shop my brakes sounded worse than they did before I came. Good Service (Bad Piping!!) I have previously went to Automate on several occations with no problems and some decent prices for fixes etc. I just now had my car worked on 2 days ago had 4 tires mounted and balanced along with a 4 wheel alignment $108 for that to be all done that is a good deal. I then had my new muffler put on along with a rusted 4 inch piece replaced. Great value! We took our car to Auto mate and were very pleased with their work and their price. We didn't know who to go to when we had car trouble but were very satisfied with how quickly they fixed our car. They charged a fair price. We will use them again when we have more car needs.
