Just because they wanted to hold your down payment doesn't mean it is a scam. Gerry Lane did the same with me, and when I wasn't approved they gave my money back. Some dealers will hold your down payment as they are trying to approve you.are like that, even the main top dealers. I say this because I purchased a car from Auto say yes, and it is doing fine so far.
