Worst homeowner insurance out there. I filed a claim on July 2nd. They made a payment towards the claim so I hired a contractor to get the work done. The work only took about a week to finish. I wrote the contractor a check (much more that the payment received). Now it is Oct. 29th and I cant get my claim representative OR his supervisor to call me. I am out $25,000 until they decide to process payment, if they process the payment. At what point do you hire an attorney? I shouldn't be asking myself this question.
Wow is all can say! I have never in my life had an insurance claim. So if you have you know how stressful it is. This was a seamless process and very beneficial. Repairs went over budget because of the building process these days. I was not expecting to compensated over what the original bids were, assuming I would just be out the money. Well they made it right and funded the difference. I would highly recommend this company. Stephen Bray took wonderful care of us!
I had a great experience with my claim when my neighbor brought to my attention that my chimney top had been detached from the chimney. After getting on the ladder and looking at it I saw some other issues with shingles around it and so I decided to call Auto-Owners and ask them to come out and check out my problem. They found issues with my roof due to hail I had four or five weeks prior to this date and so the process started and they sent out an appraiser to appraise the amount of damage and he got that done within 3 days... read more
