I’ve thought long and hard about this review. My family saw three different therapists at Authentic Roots. Amy was great and very helpful. When Niko was good, he was great, but after many, many, many canceled appointments and a couple of serious breaches in professionalism (it’s probably not a good idea for a therapist to tell their client that they’re not willing to help “hold their shit” when they’re struggling most), the trust required for mental health work was destroyed. Emily is a great couple’s therapist!
Never had a therapist actually care about my well being before I started having sessions here.
We were assured this provider would be in network for us. We were even given some sort of documentation from the insurance company they gave us that said they were in network. We were charged as out of network for the two appointments my child attended. They were unwilling to accept that they may have made an error on their end and work with me to correct this.
