That is ridiculous! A austin ambulance can come in to to your gated apartment complex hit your car with a gurney. Then claim they dont have to pay because the city of Austin is legally immune to property damage. It is a legally parked car in a gated apartment community at 4am in the morning. How is this right?! So now my friend has to pay to get $2000 worth of damage fixed because somebody was not doing there job properly. Im beyond furious. This is why people lose respect for the law. Many, many thanks to the guys who came and helped me last Friday night. I had just been released from the hospital earlier that afternoon after having colon surgery a few days prior, and was having very painful complications. The guys who were dispatched were both very professional, caring, and attentive, and they were also both very cool with good senses of humor (which earned high marks with me personally because truth be told, I was egging them on with it :-) ). Thank you for helping me and my 16 month old. You took excellent care of my daughter and didn't skip a beat. You also helped me not completely lose it In very stressful situation for a mother. You guys were awesome!
