I was charged $350 for a capacitor replacement (part cost less than $10). It didn't fix anything. He noted on the invoice that evaporator coils were bent but instead of telling me that what he was doing would not make the a/c cool he just did the little part replacement and left. No indication that my 21 year old system needed to just be replaced as 2 other vendors told me straight out. I ended up replacing the entire system within 2 weeks. I feel ripped off.

I already knew what the issue was with the heater. It was a faulty board. Speaking to Jeff, he thought it would be an hour of work to replace the circuit board, and the board should have been 250. I was expecting a bill for $360 (250 + 80 + tax), but the bill came in at $604. I will probably find someone else next time because of the cost. If you want to use him, I would recommend getting a written estimate instead of a verbal one.
