Who ever runs there switchbord. Listed number on google maps. On 16th. Aug. At 3.30pm. needs to be immediately fired. Answers the phone in a unprofessional way. Sounds like he doesn't want to be there or talk to people. Sounds half asleep. I ask a simple question if the emergency department is busy today. He gives me some robot upset answer tell me it's emergency department, yes I realise this. Been waiting for 8hrs still no doctor to see my dad! My dad arrived by 11:25am! Till now 7:48 still haven’t been see the nurse said no doctor put the name down! Waiting and waiting !
I've come in with shortness of breath and severe chest pains. Put to emergency treaarge. Girl behind the desk with the jellyfish tattoo said "Oh sorry I didn't see you there. I don't normally let that many people push in." If you have a medical emergency The Austin is the LAST place you should go.
