Amphibious vehicle in Austin?? Austin Duck Adventure is an Austin based Amphibian tourist vehicle. They tour downtown and then drive into Town Lake to see another part of Austin that people rarely get to see from the water. The experience is great fun, and the tour guide makes it a fun ride, with lots of interesting facts about our city, some that I didn't even know after living here many years. The price is $19.95 for adults.

A Dip anyone? This is a must do if you live in Austin. Take an entertaining and informative tour of Austin in an amphibious bus that looks like a duck and enjoy the climax where the duck-bus turns and drives straight into Town Lake for the last part of the tour. This is great for out-of-towners, the look on their face is priceless. The tour takes about an hour and 15 minutes and it's so much fun. PROS: Informative and interesting history CONS:

Must go at least once! This is actually a lot of fun. If you are visiting Austin or having guests from out-of-town, you must make a reservation and take them on the Austin Duck! They will have a blast and will remember it fondly.

A recommended stop for people new to town or with young children (or young at heart) – I took my family on the duck tours today. It was a nice stop. They hand out quacking noise makers to each guest, which does get old after a few minutes, but still fun. The driver was friendly and had good knowledge of Austin. The feeling of "driving" from the road into the water is neat. Make sure to call ahead for seats and parking suggestions (it's downtown).

Tour Austin in a "duck" on wheels, by land and by lake. – In Short The narrated driving/boating tour, approximately 90 minutes in length, starts near West First Street, near the Radison by Town Lake. Riding aloft in your British Alvis Stalwart (aka duck), you'll visit the Capitol Building, Governor's Mansion, LBJ Library, Sixth Street, Congress Avenue and splash down in scenic Lake Austin. The "duck" can hold 45 people; larger groups, family or corporate parties can be accommodated at the party pavilion on Fifth Street.
