I’ve been a patient at AIMC for over 10 years, and my family has as well. The medical care here is excellent—Dr. Burroughs listens carefully, takes my concerns seriously, and even diagnosed my chronic condition after years of being dismissed elsewhere. I’ve also loved Dr. Aboaf and Dr. Gilmer (before he retired). Like many practices, there have been occasional staffing challenges at the front desk and with medical assistants. I've been going to this clinic for over 10 years. I've always hated them, just too lazy to find a new one. I'm in great health, so never needed to go often, anyhow. The turnover is absolutely insane. The staff, including the doctors and nurses, are constantly changing. Dr. Abouf is an expletive. The way he speaks to his patients. I needed a refill once and had to call the office and he literally spoke to me like I was 5. "What did we learn?" Communication is non-existent. They are still in the dark ages. A doctor friend recommended an MD at his clinic as a great resource, so kudos to his accomplishments. Called to make an appointment requesting this MD. The staff said they do all appointment-making in the 4 o'clock hour, so I gave them a number to call back. They then called back at 11:30am. Took my info, said they'd build my chart and call back in 5-10 minutes to then schedule the appointment, noting new patients needed to make a separate appointment with a physician's assistant before a second appointment with the MD, and ... read more
