I have been in health care for 15 years & I have never encountered a better run facility. Every detail was thought of in these buildings - the walking trail for community & visitor use, hotel rooms for family to use, WiFi, docking stations, etc, etc. The staff has been outstanding!! They’ve all been professional, genuine, friendly, helpful, & kind. No one appears overworked or understaffed. My husband's neurologist told us his entire staff quit and the people they hired to fill the open jobs are not capable of doing the work they need to do. My husband was given some other patients forms to sign and we were told we have no insurance. Turns out they have 2 patients with the same first name and they got everything mixed up. The doctor was doing all of the prep work the nurses usually do. The entire experience was just awful! I'm so disappointed I could cry. We went to Aurora Baycare for a minor cut on my sons forehead because it's been marketed everywhere as an urgent care/emergency dept depending on your needs. He didn't need any tests, we didn't see a doctor, it was so small they cleaned it and glued it because it didn't need stitches - then I got a bill for almost $2000!! It wiped out our HSA because we believed we'd be appropriately charged for urgent care (we were there during urgent care hours). Drive elsewhere!! We live in the neighborhoo... read more
I had surgery August 30th. Dr Mckenna was my surgeon. I am so amazed at the level of care you receive from the dr.,The nurses and all of dr.Mckenna staff. He takes the time to talk to you in detail and makes you feel comfortable. The bariatric program that baycare has is also amazing and something you definitely need to succeed on the weightloss journey.
