Wow!! Talk about some incredible food! My two friends and I went there and came home with so many leftovers! Impossible to eat all the food they serve! And it was so delicious!! I can’t eat gluten so I couldn’t have Mac and cheese - but I had one little bite- OMG perfect!! I had the loaded brisket fries - magnificent 👨🏾🍳👌🏼the fish was also perfect 👌🏼greens, corn, and okra succotash, and the cornbread muffin - delicious! 🤤 so sad they are leaving Fairfield.
I don’t believe anything is perfect but this is as close as you’ll get to authentic southern soul food on the west coast. had the red beans and fish beans were perfect the fish was good just wish it was a thicker fish . Also had the kool aid I didn’t like it for the sake of me being use to the soul food places having super sweet koolaid so we can disregard that the hush puppies were crispy and perfect I also tasted the wings the hot honey and bbq and I wish I ordered them also. We were coming from Santa cruz and googled best soul food and Aunt Bill's came up. We got 2 dinner plates. Portions were nice, food was good. My only compliant is the oxtail weren't falling off the bone. They had to be chewed a few times before swallowing.
Absolutely amazing the staff make me feel at home!
The dressing is sweet.
