In 2008 I saw Mazzocca for a shoulder issue related to a dislocation that occurred in the late 80's. Yesterday I saw another MD at UConn for the same on-going issue and as she was reviewing Mazzocca's notes we learned he referenced my LEFT shoulder when in fact it is my RIGHT shoulder! As a patient I would never known this error unless I saw his visit notes yesterday. BEWARE!

No nonsense surgeon, helped me a lot with shoulder replacement surgery. Wonderful staff. My shoulder is now feeling much better!
After bad injury in the gym my right and left biceps tendons need to be reattached. I was very lucky to meet Dr. Mazzocca who did an excellent job. Recovery was very fast and without consequences. My secret is: “Start moving ASAP”. His staff is friendly and courteous. THANK YOU Dr. Mazzocca!
After two failed shoulder operations, one being with James Andrews in Birmingham and seeing multiple shoulder surgeons across the country, Dr. Mazzocca reconstructed my shoulder back to working order and I am playing competitive golf again. Very personable and genuine. Grateful for his research, knowledge and ability to get me back playing the game I love. Now if I could just figure out how to stop hitting the snap hook.
