Dr. Devine got to the bottom of the joint pain I was having right away. She was thorough, and ordered imaging, which was never done before. She was kind, thoughtful and affirming of my feelings and fears. She offers in-person visits, as well as virtual, which is nice (once care is established). I had asked for recommendations for a rheumatologist from friends on FB and got an overwhelming response for Dr. Audrey Devine. In my experience, this provider was kind at first, but during my last visit it felt as if she came across as dismissive and demeaning. I personally experienced things that did not feel emotionally safe during the visit, and I feel that my real medical concerns were minimized and I even felt mocked. It felt like trauma-informed care was not considered, and I sensed implicit bias in how I was treated. I left feeling ignored, belittled, and worse emotionally than when I walked in.
