RecommendedTruly a throwback to the days when a vet was a caregiver, not a corporation! The staff seems to really care about the welfare of their patients and Dr. McKinnon does not try to upcharge the owner at every turn, like some other vets I have known. I feel that Dr. McKinnon practices medicine with compassion, which gives me confidence in her treatment protocols.
Very friendly and fair. I cringe at the thought of having to take my pets to the Vet, but was pleasantly surprised when I took PsychoCat in for an emergency. Quick service, friendly staff, and was relieved when the service didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
Our Smitty always gets the best treatment here. Very small clinic that treats you like family �

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Rice for 15 years. My son is now grown and taking his pets to Dr. Rice too. We hope he never retires! He is a phenomenal vet. His love of animals is clear when they are being examined and he explains what he is doing to the nervous owner, while putting his patient (your pet) at ease with his kindness and his confidence. His staff is caring and efficient as well.
