Update 2/15 Received a couple calls and an email from the owner, Nancy. Quite strange, appears they forgot to charge us a portion of the tax due, and are now calling four (!) months later to collect. Total charge is $25. Very peculiar behavior for a business, even a small and privately owned one. Fantastic little hidden gem in Woodinville. Wouldn't have heard about it if it weren't for family, and I imagine word of mouth is their best advertising. Secluded, quiet, and unique.
What a beautiful experience we shared at Auberge de Seattle. Nancy Douglas and Executive Chef Felipe Naud, treated us to an evening of French cuisine, authentic music and travel stories. There's nothing like preparing your own meal with the help of experts, drinking wine and making new friends. Merci Beaucoup!
My husband and I have spent several weekends at Auberge taking in one of the cooking classes each time. Each time has been enjoyable. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. I would recommend partaking of the terrific breakfast Nancy delivers to your door. The cooking lessons are hands on. Bring a bottle of wine to share with the group as you cook and then sit down to enjoy the bounty. Nancy is a great host. Valerie, Vancouver BC
I had a problem with using a groupon that's was not old or expired (technical problem) and the staff were initially very rude and unaccommodating about it. It took a few phone calls and a lot of headache, but I finally got the issue resolved (without being able to attend a cooking class). After the experience with staff on the phone, I decided against trying to book a cooking class here.
