Dr. Alvin is the most unprofessional, DR. we have ever come across. From the beginning, it was uncomfortable and awkward. He never even introduced himself when he walked into the surgery room. His nurse stated that Dr. Alvin would be doing my procedure, and if I had any questions for him. He kept his back turned towards me the whole time, never acknowledging me. He made it quite apparent that he did not want to be bothered with the question. He never even spoke to myself/family post surgery.
I had an appointment with the Dr for my colonoscopy never met the man was asked some questions by his PA and given a date for the colonoscopy which I quickly canceled.may be it's just me but if I'm going to be put under and have five feet of scope but up my tail pipe I would expect to have a face to face to get questions answered from the person doing the procedure. The more I ask the more negative I hear. My advise to all is do your research prior to having any Dr.perform any procedure on you
Dr. Au is quiet and business like and capable. His nurses at the Hanford facility are what make the dreaded procedure tolerable and even enjoyable. They are friendly and funny without being dismissive of the anxiety one might be feeling during the visit. They make sure you are as comfortable as possible and kept up to date on what's going to happen next. As always, nurses make the doctor shine!
Terrible patient communication for procedures done outside his office. Never sent any paperwork with info needed regarding endoscopy. Got a call the day before from a surgical center giving a new time & location for procedure. Procedure then moved to hospital the day of appointment. Then got a call yesterday from hospital for appointment the following day for a procedure we were never told about. Again, zero communication from Dr. Au. We weren't able to go to the appointment.
He explained the outpatient procedures that he would be doing. He was very accommodating since I am not able to lay on my left side due to having broke my collar bone, 3 tears in the muscle, and had having another fall soon after.
