UPDATE 5/20: Now I came home and have another leak. I have been asking the property manager Joseph to help me solve why my electricity bills are so high. Its because I have leaks in my unit. UPDATE: Unfortunately, it continues to get worse. They have a copy and paste message but never fix your concern. I have reported the draft that comes through my apartment countless times and the excessive electricity bills averaging between 300-500 per month for a studio. I have decided not to renew, but was just stopped by a resident to be informed that someone is going around with a master key and entering peoples apartments and stealing their belongings while they are not home. DO NOT RENT HERE !!! This building and management are just big expensive joke, I was living in unit 2003, my AC never work how it’s supposed to be, during winter time max temperature was 66-68 degrees, hot water never worked well , cooling system working bad, I had problem with window , management just ignored me for more then two months, if I had some maintenance required they doing it for a while, wants to say about property manager, he’s very rude and unprofessional, always argued with residents, all residents are wishing... read more
If you don’t want to end up in a legal battle over your security deposit, do NOT rent here! They refused to return my deposit without a valid reason. And If I hadn’t lived in other apartments before, I wouldn’t have realized just how poor the living conditions are here. Despite the appearance of a luxury apartment and the friendly front desk staff, the actual living experience was terrible. The insulation is extremely poor, and the AC is incredibly noisy—both of which seriously affect daily life
I’m sharing my experience as a former tenant at Atlas (I'm actually the first move-in). I moved out of my apartment in mid-March 2025 and returned the keys on time. My lease already ended more than 1 month ago. Despite following proper procedures and even sent a formal demand letter, my $4,500 security deposit was never returned. As of May 1st, I have officially filed a legal complaint in Hudson County Special Civil Part demanding double the amount (see attached screenshot). Hope the law brings justice.
