We were moored across the Canal at the Great Bridge Battleground Park public docks When the engine on our Catalina failed to start one morning. By the afternoon they had a Sr Tech on board diagnosing the problem. By the next day the repairs were complete and I had a new starter. Fantastic service to a transient boater.

The Atlantic yacht Basin is in a great location if you are looking to refuel, restock the pantry, reorganize and maybe catch a bit of down time between journeys. Dock Master is helpful and knowledgable. The rates for fuel and dockage are reasonable. My only complaint is the showers. They need cleaning and upgrading. Very busy here in terms of highway traffic, but you can find reasonably priced groceries, restaurants, pharmacies.......just about anything all within walking distance. Ahoy Mates, when I call about a problem on my vessel I was told by the On Site Mechanic ( 45 years at AYB) who I explained my problem to, he assured me that they could fix it. Only to arrive their and find out He was on a Mobile Job and may not be back to Marina. After speaking to the Parts Manager, who was the biggest help and the Mechanic who was on our vessel for 20 minutes checking the same things a I did.
