Our son was in the nicu from October 3rd to November 22nd if it wasn’t for the Ronald McDonald house we would have had to drive over two hours back and forth everyday to be with him. We made it home before thanksgiving but unfortunately we ended up in the picu Friday night. Thanks to the Ronald McDonald house we are able to make sure our kids will have Christmas since we aren’t sure if we will make it home before Christmas. The staff and the volunteers are amazing. We stayed in the House near Scottish Rite. We were there for 3 months. We had no worries at all! Tori made amazing and miraculous progress while there. My company, LeasePlan USA had the honor of providing and serving breakfast to the families at Atlanta RMHC. It was such a rewarding experience and one that we will all cherish. Can’t express my gratitude enough for this place. When my son was transferred to CHOA from a hospital in Macon, we had no idea where we would stay being so far from home. This became our home away from home for the two weeks our son was in the NICU at CHOA. This place and the individuals who work there and keep this place running are amazing, kind, and so welcoming. Forever will be grateful!
My nephew has had to stay at the Ronald McDonald House before and I think it’s a marvelous thing to allow families of sick kids to stay free and that’s why I choose to donate items .
