It was very important to us to find a facility that was going to be the best for our 2 yr old Atlanta autism was one of our first choices until we asked for a tour and they replied we have a video on YouTube that you can watch. I’m sorry what???? Because of this we decided not to bring our son here and honestly best choice ever cause the place we did choose (Therapyland)is awesome they gave us a tour with no hesitation!!!
We received a diagnosis for our son back in April. We were told at the appointment it would take 4-6 weeks and then we would be contacted with results for the test swabs, and next steps for our son. I have tried calling multiple times, and the one time someone answered she stated they had the results since May 9th but Dr. George has not looked at them. I wanted to express my concern regarding a recent visit to the Atlanta Autism Center located at 833 Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville, GA. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling disregarded and disrespected. During our visit, no staff members acknowledged our presence. Two employees entered the reception area to collect lunch and packages but did not greet us, ask if we needed assistance, or make any effort to engage. If I can give a 0 star I would. It’s so frustrating as parents we patiently get put on a waiting list for months to a year to get our babies tested. I personally opt into drive 2 hours to Gainesville Ga for my son appointment bc nothing wasn’t available in my area until April 2025. Due to weather it has been cancelled and now they want me to wait 2 more months to get another appointment in March. These ppl make thousands of dollars in healthcare-but can’t even accommodate or even consider the inconvenience this may cause our... read more
