I rented a unit owned by BTT for many years. While my unit and building weren’t fancy, they were decently renovated, well-maintained, and priced affordably. Pre-covid, they did a really solid job of maintenance and upkeep, but during and after the pandemic, both declined. Stairwells were rarely swept and mopped, the laundry room was always dusty and sticky, machines would break and not be fixed for weeks, and the parking lot had huge potholes that were never filled. I had high hopes for this place, but the person who handles customer service for BTT is the absolute worst! And it’s ruining my experience. They take forever to get back to you and when they finally do, they are either SO unapologetically rude, argue with you or are shamefully unhelpful. I made a request almost 3 weeks ago when I moved in and every time I asked for an update this person tells me to put in another maintenance request or IGNORES me all together, even though it’s an error on THEIR end. I appreciate BTT. I've been with them for years now. The apartment buildings and grounds are well kept and they are very responsive. I have never had an issue with them.

We loved renting from BTT! They are a small local business and not a corporate landlord and they actually care about their tenants. Reasonably priced units, prompt to respond to maintenance issues, and considerate staff. They have a variety of properties in the Takoma Park / Silver Spring area. A lot of their properties are older buildings, but they are well-maintained and have character and charm. I highly recommend BTT!

I have lived in a btt property for over 2 years and have nothing but good things to say. When we were searching for an apt they let us transfer our application for free to another apt when the one we applied for got filled. We ended up getting the second apt we applied for. Over the 2 years we have been here they have been super responsive to any repair requests and even small renovations we have asked about. All their repair people are super nice and friendly.
