I just relocated to the area. Was looking for a stylist who could work with my thick coarse Asian hair. I wanted to add some color back into my hair for the season change. I looked on google and instagram for reviews for Asian hair. AsukiSQ came up with the highest rating and recommendations so I took a chance. Called Oscar and he text me back since he had a client. I had the worst experience at this salon. I paid $350 for a Japanese straight perm, and the service was extremely disappointing. The stylist pulled my hair very hard, to the point that it felt like my hair could break. He also cut way too much of my hair without asking, and they didn’t even finish drying my hair before I left. After the service, my scalp was left sore from how roughly my hair was handled. For the price they charge, I expected much better care and professionalism. I do not recommend this salon at all.
I was excited about this salon since I have thick Asian hair with texture and it was nearby. 4 days ago, I asked for long layers and curtain bangs using a dry cut. It was styled at the end, so I didn’t see the full cut as is. The layers do not blend in together at all. A bad cut can be disguised from styling. I got a choppy and uneven layered cut and now I have to style my hair to make it look presentable.
