RecommendedGreat place. Just seeing the rooms Is worth the stay. Everyone very nice and laid back. Able to walk to downtown. And, the shower! I want one just like it. The bed and pillows. The best!!!

Thanks so much for a great stay! I loved everything about your little motel- from the delicious coffee in the morning, to the awesome decor, to the amazingly comfortable bed (actually thinking about doing an exact replica at home!), everything was wonderful. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the extremely welcoming and warm staff- what a lovely group of people! I will definitely recommend and be back for another stay when visiting my Santa Rosa friends!

And as much fun as we have had putting the place back together - it had become a sad, run-down dump - the best part has been finding a staff that "gets" what The Astro is about, i.e. a high-minded spot delivered at what we hope is an affordable price. Cool, fun, friendly! You get to have that retro motor inn experience and sleep on an amazingly comfortable Caspar bed with nice linens and towels. With great coffee and fresh baked muffins in the morning and superb location, The Astro is my kind of place.

Super comfortable, great beds, easily walkable to downtown restaurants & cafes, and the most generous owners and staff. The Astro is already a community and hospitality-focused superstar of wine country lodging. Ten stars.
The transformation from what it was then, to what it is now, is nothing short of amazing. From a gloomy, hard to approach looking motel, to a very approachable and happening place to stay in downtown Santa Rosa. Way to go, Astro!
Everyday heroes extended their accommodations to folks that lost their homes or had been evacuated. Thank you, Steve and all the great people who are serving the community and doing it with style at the Astro!
I'm sorry this took so long to post. There aren't enough amazing words to describe what this place is. It's an amazing art gallery of a hotel with dynamite personality, a snapshot of somewhere in time, the staff are rock stars of service and I was able to experience this all in the middle of a grand opening trying to happen in the middle of the biggest disaster the community has seen in 50 years.
