It is a great vacation spot. The closest to the beach of all the Ka'anapali properties. I highly recommend the Mahana for a quiet relaxing stay. This is our 3rd year in a row at the Mahana.
Every time I go to Maui I stay at the Aston Mahana at Kaanapali. This is all condos. They are all ocean front, they all have full wall windows all across the entire condo. It is the only condos only feet from the ocean. In the winter you see many many whales off your balcony. Its the only place to stay for me.
Loved it!! We will definitely be back for another staycation. It was nice, quite and the ocean was beautiful!

We have stayed here six or more times over the years. We like it for a number of reasons. Number one is because it is just a very pleasant place to be on the island. The hotel has everything you need, and none of the things you don't need, like a bunch of sales shops and restaurants to walk past every time you go out, or a large parking lot you have to walk a mile to your car. I particularly recommend the location if you're going to the Maui classic basketball games at Thanksgiving. No whales to be seen at that time but come... read more

We just retired and stayed for 10 days at the Mahana. It was our third time staying at the Mahana. We love the friendly staff and being on the quiet end of Kaanapali. We like the rooms are 50 feet from the ocean and we like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. We enjoy taking long morning walks to Black Rock on the beach and the beach walk and watching spectacular sunsets. We enjoy barbecuing fresh fish on the fantastic grills by the pool.
