If you want wholesome, pleasant bedside manner, he’s your guy. If you want a gastroenterologist who allows the anaesthesiologist to bully him, he’s your guy. If you want a guy who practices “defensive” medicine, rather than the logical use of the probability & statistics of both patient experience and his own, he’s your guy. Dr. Swendsen is fantastic. Very compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. He takes the time to answer questions, and explain things thoroughly. He is instrumental in my healing. Personable and positive, I highly recommend him.
I could not have been more pleased with Dr. Swendsen. I met him for the first time pre-procedure (colonoscopy). He took time with me, answered my questions and put me at ease. Post procedure, he again made me feel I was his priority while he explained my test results. Very personable, fantastic bedside manner, and highly competent. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Swendsen reassured me and really put me at ease from start to finish during this routine, necessary procedure that we all must face periodically. His explanations, both before and after the procedure, were simple and straight forward and probably took less than a few minutes. He's exactly the kind of physician or any professional I seek out. He performs the service without complications and sends you on your way with a smile.
I had a Colonoscopy without sleeping since I had to drive home. I am very glad of the experience. Dr. Swendsen & his nursing staff were very efficient professional, concerned and friendly. He let me watch the procedure & described what he was doing & why. He is an outstanding Doctor.
Overall great experience. Dr. Swendsen talked with me before and after the colonoscopy, fully explaining findings, risks, etc. Great office staff and nurse support.
Saw Dr. Swendsen for a routine colonoscopy. The whole experience was great. The office staff were friendly and upbeat. The nursing staff were patient and knowledgeable as was Dr. Swendsen. Procedure was easier than I expected. Everyone there seemed to be truly enjoying their jobs, which I found comforting. Great environment and great care!
