Update- 04/09/2024 - another visit, more teeth pulled- and omg STILL THE BEST EXPERIENCE for even the most phobic of clients. Dr Nelson and his team were amazing, faced my terror and phobia with kindness, assurance, and humor. My difficult extractions (yeah- 2 teeth this time. Talk about twice the terror…) were painless. I had to get a tooth pulled with just getting shots and not being put to sleep. The staff and the Dr were great, I felt nothing and it was smooth. I would recommend them to others.
Two of my sons had wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Nelson. He was patient, positive, and effective. We were treated well. He is a confident and efficient doctor. I am very pleased with the service we received. As a minority, I often worry about the quality of medical treatment for my mixed family. I look closely for signs of racial bias when I do business. We felt respected, considered, and well-cared for at this practice. I appreciate that fully.
I was repeatedly told three different amounts that my surgery would cost from several different staff members. I was then overcharged over $1100 that was (eventually) refunded. On the morning of my surgery, I heard several patients crying and/or were expressing worries that were not being addressed nor shown any sympathy for. I have a severe allergy (that is very common to encounter in this field) that was NOT documented whatsoever and then I was accused of never telling staff that I had the allergy. Not very competent in terms of checking insurance or billing insurance. Had an awful experience with the surgery and staff. There were complications and I had to go under a second time several months later, which was surprisingly more painful than the first. Little consideration in follow ups for the oral surgery. Sent me a surprise bill 11 months post op. Office Manager, Pam Phillips, is impossible to get into contact with. Would highly recommend going anywhere else.
