It''s not easy relying on others to take care of a loved one, but after a couple falls last year our Mom lost a lot of her mobility and independence, and we needed someone to be with her full time. Our family was so lucky to find Assisting Hands. Brett Sanders came over to our Mom's apartment with a nurse who helped evaluate her needs, and together we came up with a set of guidelines for care that made our Mom and us happy. My family relied on Assisting Hands for well over a year to help our loved one navigate memory loss. The team was extremely reliable on scheduling, selecting excellent caregiver matches for our family member, and remarkably flexible (as possible) for emergencies and shifting needs. It is clear they care about their mission and consistently show up when and how it counts.

The caregivers assigned to my Mom are all ... read more

This past Fall I had to have two surgeries to deal with a serious infection in my right leg. I spent three+ weeks in Inova Fairfax Hospital recovering from the procedures and undergoing PT and RT. When I returned home, I wasn't able to navigate the stairs in my home or fully care for myself (a fall risk). My family reached out to Assisting Hands Home Care and I am grateful that they did. My PT has recently ended and while I'm not moving like my old self (What do they say in the sports world? He's lost a step.), I am gettin... read more
