I'd give Aspen Ridge Apartments 4.5/5. I lived here for two years and really enjoyed my experience. It is a quiet, diverse community of students, families, and young professionals, conveniently located near Butler Plaza, Indian grocery stores, and other everyday amenities. The complex is a sister community of Greenwich Green Apartments, which offers amenities such as a pool, sports courts, and a small gym. I had a positive response here not too long ago. That was until it became clear that my window was a front row view to an undisclosed mental health facility. I was personally stalked, sexually harassed, and witnessed an aggressive racial dispute (“White power”/“Black power”) all while caring for an infant. Beware these are the kinds of people you’ll be moving in next to. Apparently Collier finds this acceptable because if they truly believed it was unacceptable they’d let us out of the lease after reporting numerous instances.
Our apartment flooded during October due to the maintenance team improperly installing a new water heater. Not only did we have to pay the deductible on the renters insurance for their mistake, they have still failed to return the apartment to its original condition. The carpet has issues. The paint on the walls is scraped from when their restoration team moved stuff. And there’s seemingly mold issues they simply denny and refuse to address. I am updating my review to reflect the ONGOING SAFETY THREATS occurring at Aspen Ridge/Greenwich Greens due to its direct proximity to a Meridian Behavioral Healthcare transitional facility, something that was never disclosed during the leasing process. Throughout my residency, there have been repeated incidents involving Meridian clients’ shared backyard area and beyond into the Aspen Ridge property, approaching residents, watching into windows, and engaging in behavior that feels threatening or harassing.
