Upscale casual to semi-formal. Don't be fooled by the negative Yelp reviews. I've eaten in some of the best restaurants in the best cities this country has to offer, and this one is right up there. From the wine, to the appetizers to the main meal and the service, this was Five Star all the way! It appears the chef returned a few years back and turned this restaurant around. If this was any indication, you won't be disappointed.
Always an outstanding meal. Aspen has to be the best restaurant in the Old Saybrook area. Service is always number one.
Perfect lunch in a prefect atmosphere! Staff was very attentive and service was on the money. We were pleasantly satisfied with our experience.
My husband had the fish and chips and I had the scallops. We finished lunch with cappuccino, expresso, and 2 desserts (gelato for me and creme brulee for hubby. We were visiting the Saybrook Furniture Barn and noticed the sign for your restaurant. We were so glad we stopped in. We will return.
The food was fresh and fantastic. Great atmosphere and service was very welcoming. Had a fantastic time and will definitely be back when I am in the area. A must try!
