RecommendedI highly recommend Dusty Boots Motel and Cafe in Cloudcroft, N.M. It is a American family owned motel and cafe, they take care of their renters like family. Excellent rooms, food, service and priced right. I was very impressed, best motel stay I have ever had. I have abolutely no complaints and hope you spend your stay in Cloudcroft at Dusty Boots and Cafe.
The Chicken Fried Steak, real mashed potatoes and gravy, and biscuits were so delicious. Loved the cozy country and vintage atmosphere.
The best HOMECOOKED food I've had in years!! Homemade mashed potatoes and brown gravy over tender roast beef and Texas toast and Homecooked, not frozen, sauteed squash. I definately will be back again!! Folks there were very friendly and were very attentive to make sure our dining experience was perfect!!
The service was excellent and the food was awesome. Relaxing atmosphere, can't wait to stop in again.
We stayed one night here on a weekend trip and were disappointed. The bed in the room had dirty/stained sheets and hair on the throw pillows. My other complaint would be the lack of customer service and feeling unwelcomed. Cloudcroft is beautiful, but we will make other accommodations on our next trip.

good eats great service should stop
We went to the Cafe for lunch on October 11 for lunch. After 45 minutes, without an offer for a coffee refill, and after seeing food delivered to folks who arrived after us, we went to the counter, said we would pay for our coffee, since it was obvious we were not going to be getting our lunch. Waitress response - charged us for the coffee. No apology. No explanation of why it would take longer to make a salad and a BLT than it does to fry burgers. No have a nice day. Just nothing. My mom and I came to eat, this was my first visit. We both got the same burger, and it was massive!! And so good. Definitely will be back!!
