I'm submitting this review on behalf of a family member. Their experience was poor overall. The facility seems to be under staffed with individual session being very short. The patient met with a psychologist only twice, later learning the "new" medication prescribed was ineffective and likely more harmful to the symptoms experienced. The food served was mediocre to poor. I am so very appreciative of Aspen Grove and the time I spent there to learn, pause, and understand myself deeper. Aspen Grove is truly a place of healing and built community as you learn along others in similar situations as yourself in clean orderly units. The nursing and medical staff are all kind, attentive, prompt, and thorough while being present on a personal level to support your journey. I absolutely dread this place. You guys used to be called Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital but I’m guessing due to all the negative reviews you’ve gotten, you changed the name. The nurses here literally don’t care about your children. I was admitted here around late 2022 for suicide and this place made it so much more worse. This place used to be called Prpvo Canyon and renamed because they are horrible facility. This might be good for a select few, but my experience was a nightmare and you shouldn't go if you're in crisis. Horrible communication to my support system. When I arrived they revoked my visiting time. It felt like a prison, with screens on the windows to blur your view of the outside, and escorts to take you to the cafeteria (and only after you were deemed able to go).
