Review written in mid-2025 under UDR management, if their management changes let me know and I'll delete my review The pros: - Great units. Compared to everything else I toured in downtown Bellevue I liked Ashton's units the most. Feels so home-y compared to other apartments in the area that seem like college dorms - Very little noise - Friendly staff. I see the same 3 guys for the most part but they're all chill - Convenient package locker system - Maintenance requests are usually addressed in a few days - Never really had ... read more

I used to be extremely unhappy living in this apartment—to the point where I seriously considered breaking my lease. The refrigerator was installed crooked, and the previous maintenance manager told me it was "impossible" to fix and that I should just buy my own if I wanted something better. He also said I had to buy and replace filters on my own and made it seem like all the inconvenience was just something I had to deal with because I chose to live in an apartment. Because of that, I stopped even bothering to ask for maint... read more

Disappointing Decline in Quality and Resident Consideration I’ve been a resident at Ashton for some time now, and unfortunately, the quality of life here has significantly declined due to several frustrating and poorly managed changes. The most troubling issue has been the ongoing monetization of resident spaces and amenities. Rooftop areas and grills—once a key part of the living experience—are now frequently rented out to the public through platforms like Peerspace, often with little to no notice to actual residents. On ho... read more

I lived at the Ashton from 2014 up until recently. It has well apointed, spacious upscale accommodation. But in recent years the UDR management and the staff at Ashton made it a much less than the luxury residential community that it was. When I moved there in 2014, the place said 'luxury living'. I left becuse it now says, 'sub-par living, disguised as luxury living while charging sky-high rents'. Over the last several years, the concierge service went away, the managment shrunk down, the staff was reduced and it resulted i... read more

The units themselves are okay, the amenities are there for a checklist (gym equipment is beat up and old, media room is an outdated multi-TV collage). The bigger issues, however, are the random fees and charges, whether from constant water leakages or maintenance requests turned into paid ordeals with subpar (or complete lack of) communication in between. 1. Water charges are very high, $300+ for many months in a unit with 2 people. Water continues to be 'consumed' at high rates even on days we are not home. A bucket test wa... read more
