Such a great place to unplug, relax and get away from the daily rat race. The entire property was meticulously maintained. We felt secluded on our little piece of paradise. The treehouse was a favorite among our group. I was impressed by the attention to detail. One example being the glow in the dark rocks strategically placed on the walking path from the main house to the tree house. Stepping into the island you have a sense that you have stepped into your own private retreat. Amazing property to unwind. Breathtaking views. Great accommodations. Highly recommend!
Manchester township says this business is not legal . Property is not zoned for commercial use. Who will show up and how quickly if you have an emergency.
This "island vacation resort" business is shutting down due to a violation of Township Zoning Ordinances. Owner lied to neighbors and township and never disclosed his intended purpose to establish a full-time for-profit LLC resort/hotel business in a zoned residential/agricultural area. Owner also never informed the township that he built another house on the island (equipped with electricity and heat) without the necessary permits! Lying never pays off in the end! Ashkay is absolutely amazing! My husband and I went with our two rotties and had a fantastic time. Our dogs loved being completely off lead, boating, swimming and hiking the island. The cabin is beautiful and I love the fact that it is "off grid" and solar powered but make no mistake, the accommodations are truly 5 star. We will definitely be back :)
Ashkay was a great family stay. Our kids, their spouses, our grandkids and my brother. Many many wonderful experiences. My top experience was the mealtimes with all around the table. Thank you Ashkay
