Asher is one of the better apartment mgmt companies. They are family owned. It seems, the reviewers complaint below could have been easily avoided by leaving a proper forwarding address. Just because there was confusing of this, doesnt mean they are crooks.
Renter Beware – Rented from Whetstone Apts in Gaithersburg MD, who Asher manages. Asher claimed that I did not leave a forwarding address with the manager, when I personally did, but she could not "remember." They claimed they sent the $$ to the VACANT address at the Whetsone Apts. AFTER I left, and THEN claimed it had "not yet been returned" two months later. They told me to check the Post Office-right..... To just simply cancel the check they said they would have to charge me $25 for the "cancellation fee." This is a scam-... read more
