Larry Ujhely is one of my patients and he's an incredible human who's fighting ALS! He and his wife have given me permission to share some of his story to help raise awareness. He hasn't made a new one in a while, but you can watch his videos to learn more about him and his fight with ALS! The biggest myth in hospice is that hospice is for when someone is actively dying. Hospice is the biggest benefit when started in the last several months of life vs just the last several days. Hospice is a support not only to the patient but also the patients loved ones. Hospice provides spiritual, emotional and medical cares and support during those last times in someones life and offers bereavement support to the loved ones left behind for the following year.
