I’ve had two previous coloring appointments with Wataru, and both experiences were great, high quality and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, my haircut with Kaz was very disappointing. The layers turned out extremely weird and disconnected, and the cut overall felt rushed and sloppy. I have always been to Japanese hair salon for my hair because they usually are very thorough checking details after hair cut. But I am so disappointed with the job done at Arakus. I told the hairdresser already that my left and right hair were uneven and he only fixed the parts I pointed without checking the rest. I’ve gone back to Arukas twice to get my hair cut over the past year, and I highly recommend Kaz! Super friendly and gave me exactly what I asked for, which was a toned down version of a wolf cut. He styled my hair at the end, too. As someone who lived in Japan for 5 years, I can attest that the service, price, and quality of haircut are on par with what you’d get over there. Highly recommend :)

I went back 3 times recently after tried Kaz 3 years back. This time: Once with Yosuke, it was bad and I had to go back and ask him to correct me. Then twice with Wataru. First time Wataru did an okay job. Second time he needed to trim my volume it became so bad I am still trying to fix: he will take his scissors and horizontally cut all hair in the row beneath the top layer. Once those hair started to grow it made the volume look even bigger. The experience was pure HORROR! And they keep increasing price for such shitty hai... read more
