Don't waste your time at this office. Despite an extensive questionnaire of symptoms, you can be dismissed in under 2 minutes if you don't have the one or two they are looking for. Not everyone presents the same way. I lost a baby at 30 weeks due to complications of toxemia but I only had a trace of protein in my urine so I was dismissed and sent home with a bottle of Malox. I have been dealing with issues for approximately 25 years. 18 years ago I was treated for these issues and diagnosed with what they felt was causing it. I moved to this area due to my husband's job and so I left the Rheumatologist who had been treating me. After a short 10 minute visit, zero desire to understand my symptoms or history, 1 series of blood test and a "no longer need to treat you" message. So now after 18 years I have to start over and stop all medications I have been taking. Not a good feeling at all.

My office and the Articularis billing department both insist that it is the responsibility of the other to collect insurance information. When I attempt to give it to my office, they refuse to take it and insist I call the billing department. The billing department, however, states that the office has that responsibility. This has culminated in my insurance not being properly recorded despite attempts to contact the billing after the office denying the responsibility. since Dr. Jakes and his office staff are no longer at this place the service is awful. No answers when calling goes to voice mail as if no one is in the office. My husband went in for his three month checkup and was told the doctor is not here. Then say you called and left a message which was not true he missed a whole day of WORK!
