Dr Itkin was extremely knowledgeable, professional and he had a very compassionate bedside manner. He was able to quickly diagnose neurological medical issues that have been ongoing with me for six long years. To my surprise, he performed a nearly painless EMG on me today himself. I have the highest level of confidence in his abilities to diagnose and remediate neurological concerns. His office and staff reflected his efficiency and good nature.
Dr. Itkin has always been willing to explore different options for my migraines, however does not always listen to my concerns. The office/customer service is terrible. It is very difficult to get a hold of someone and they are constantly rescheduling my appointments. The most recent time they didn't even bother to call, they sent me a letter in the mail cancelling my appointment giving a new date and time months away. Communication is an absolute downfall.
No one seems to work in this office! because no one pick up the phone! Finally after guessing a possible extension a lady picked up the phone by the name of Janice. She said they have many staff members yet no one pick up the phone!! Worst customer service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Impossible to get through the line. I was fortunate enough to guess a possible extension number.
I am a patient at Neurological Associates and I suffer from SEVER DAILY migraines. I have been going thru this for almost a year now. At first they were very helpful in getting an appointment and prescribing me medication but after my first appointment they seem to care less. It takes me WEEKS to get a call back from their office. They seem to never be open because they never answer the phone. I even left an emergency message with their answering service when I was suffering from the medications
Dr. Itkin is amazing, hands down. His nurse was always helpful whenever I called and had questions. His staff is different. I had an appointment the 1st week of September, I hadn't received a reminder call, so I called... I was informed the appointment I made around Feb/Mar 2018 for September was changed to Dec 10th in the morning. No call, nothing. Seen him before, multiple times. I guess the staff just doesn't care about the patients or scheduling. How do they pick who's appt to change?
Very thorough, takes his time to explain everything, office staff very friendly and helpful, always able to answer any questions my family or I may have. Able to squeeze me in for emergency last minute issues. Work long hard hours. Always on top of latest medicines, techniques, procedures, international testing, etc. Great help to expand own knowledge.
Dr. Itkins is a awesome doctor. But his staff is the absolute worst, especially his rude nurse. I believe her name is Diane!!!!! She is the rudest, laziest, unintelligent nurse ever!!!! She lies to say herslef, writes bogus scripts, doesn’t follow up with insurance authorizations and will acuse you of something because she doesn’t want to do the work. She doesn’t care about Dr. Itkins patients. Because of her I’m sure Dr. Itkins’s practice will begin to suffer.
Very very difficult to get an appointment. Office staff does not return phone calls. I paid $100 for 3 minutes of his time. Me made feel like I inconvenienced him. I feel rushed. Try to ask questions, but he dismisses me. Thanks Advocate Health Systems. WHO IS MY ADVOCATE??
Dr.Itkin misdiagnosed my MS relapse. I was concerned about symptoms I was experiencing and he told me they were normal MS symptoms. After seeking a 2nd opinion I was admitted to the hospital with 6 new brain lesions. My currant doctor said he was irresponsible with his treatment. His nurse is rude and awful to deal with.
