I am a Scottsdale physician and have referred Dr. Chal patients for years and all have been extremely pleased with the results. Dr. Chal has treated me and my entire family for almost 10 years and we could not be happier. I underwent placement of zirconium crowns and the results were excellent. Dr. Chal is professional, personal and highly compenent with some of the best credentials I have seen. I could not recommend him more highly.
Initially, I contacted Dr. Chal for esthetic purposes as my front teeth had changed color and displayed vertical ridges. Over a period of 5 years, I went to a couple different “Big Box” dental offices located in both Los Angeles and the Phoenix Metro area, allegedly treating me for the same problem, twice. I have been Dr. Chals patient for almost 20 years. I have had treatments ranging from TMJ pain, zirconium crowns and general cleanings all with great success. In the beginning I was very troubled by cronic headaches and soreness in the TMJ area. I knew I had a problem and that the trauma I suffered years ago had caught up with me. Dr. Arthur Chal’s business is called “Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry,” but that doesn’t begin to cover what he can do for you. In my case, I believe he and his associate, endodontist Dr. Glen Doyen, saved my life. I had two root canals in December, 2011, in small cities, and both failed. Pain continued along with infection. My breath was foul, I was fatigued and unable to exercise well, and the doctors said, “Be patient. After years of feckless dental work and throwing tens of thousands of dollars down the drain by “big box” dental companies, I found Dr. Chal. After my initial visit, he validated the concerns I had regarding my mouth and as a result, introduced me to his team of specialists who provide nothing but the best care to their patients. After Dr. Chal examined my teeth, I feel much more confident about the work that needs to be done. I'm so grateful my friend referred me to Dr. Chal. I can see why she sent me to him. His knowledge and expertise of dentistry is way beyond any other dentist I've ever been to.
Dr. Chal's office is very clean and in a good location, however, he is very expensive for the work that he does. He replaced several crowns on my top front teeth and it was not a good result. He seemed distracted and also worried me because his hands tremble constantly even while he is drilling. Overall, I would not recommend him.
He claims to perform whole facial reconstructions but had a very difficult time creating one crown that looked satisfactory. I think I had to visit him more than fifteen times and the result was still average. I also thought that his website was misleading.
Dr. Chal is not a good cosmetic dentist in my opinion. His work was far below my expectations, he was VERY expensive, and he has very poor customer service. I would NOT recommend him to anyone.
